This moves the center of gravity deeper and lower in the head resulting in an enlarged sweet spot and a higher launch angle to promote maximum driving distance. Variable thickness in the face, sole, and back wall controls clubhead deformation for maximum energy transfer , reduced spin and high launch angle. The all new SV2 is updated and redesigned with a larger and shallower head design. The SV2 is engineered with more weight positioned to the rear of the head for optimal distance, trajectory, and control. Manufactured with Spring Face Technology. Moving the CG farther back, makes the club face easier to square and increases the clubhead's MOI (= resistance to twisting off-center hits). The Infiniti Propulsion 460 driver is a great-looking club that is likely to win over many golfers with its performance, too. The 460cc clubhead includes a thin, beta titanium face and a carbon composite crown reinforced with a metal mesh. While the clubhead hits the legal limit in size, it doesn't appear as monstrous as some other 460cc drivers face-on or at setup. Looking down at the ball, the metal-mesh carbon matrix with its deep red sheen is quite attractive, as is the very clean clubhead as a whole. Those golfers who tried the Infiniti Propulsion 460 along with us praised more than just its looks, however. Distance performance and feel were the categories where the Propulsion driver fared best with our group of test-drivers. The higher-handicappers tended to rate the Infiniti Propulsion 460 driver just a bit higher than the low-handicappers, although this driver drew praise from all levels of golfers. Forgiveness was the key for the higher-handicappers, with performance on off-center strikes rated as excellent. The carbon crown of the Propulsion allowed Infiniti to reposition 25 grams of weight to the sole of the club, helping lower the center of gravity to give the golfer a boost in getting the ball up faster. |
